What a shame. I don’t have a problem with much of what he said. It does still seem that in politics, you (or your associates) pay more for accidentally telling the truth than you do for lying.

The truth is, America has committed acts around the world that certainly don’t justify the 9/11 attacks, but absolutely provided some of the motivation for the attacks. The truth is, America has a long history of treating blacks like second-class citizens. These things can and should be debated. But if issues like these are automatically taken off the table by the media or political correctness (or both), then our national dialog about foreign policy and racial issues is permanently damaged.
